If I'm not mistaken adding an msd ignition module also bypasses the computer. Once you bypass the computer you can adjust your carb properly and advance the timing a bit. You'll be surprised how much better it runs.

Well buy you saying carb I assume your Jeep is 87-91 4.2L. The Nutter bypass cuts out all of your emissions on the YJ and is for "offroad rigs only". Oh and don't get a Weber they are a pain.
